Spring Wandering

Took a break and took the little one for a (long) walk today to the farm to get eggs. Along the way we visited some old friends.

Horse2

Horse1

Admired their new hair styles.

Mane

Contemplated some spring cleaning.

Fence

Waxed nostalgic about summer bonfires.

FireWood

Kept our eyes on the prize as we got ever closer.

Tractor1

Got excited about things to come, in this case beets.

Planting_Spring

Realized we weren't alone.

BumperLocal

Victory! The prize is at hand!

EggsForSale

Bucket

Weighed our options.

Scales2

Scale1

Saw more crops waiting to be planted.

ToBePlanted

Visited our old friend Ferdinand...I think you can see how he feels about all the fuss.

Ferdinand

Sang a song.

Perch

Danced along.

Prairie_Curl

Found beauty where we least expected, when we least expected.

Daffodils

And hurried home to a delicious nap in a cozy bed...after a lunch of eggs, of course...

There's really nothing like farm fresh eggs and the walk you take to get there. I love the city but I'd really like to live somewhere rural like this someday.

hi, you were in my stumble-up on recommendations. So glad I hit the link. This is a sweet blog you have here.
P.S.I don't think I've had farm fresh eggs in ages. They are so good!

I keep coming to look at these pics in order to maintain the proper flame of covetousness of your neighborhood and farm. "A+" on keeping the flame alive.
