Love Drop: Let Love Win

I don't think I told you this but I signed up to be part of something called "Love Drop". Essentially it's a micro-giving network. Gifts in all forms, even as small as $1 come together as a to provide unexpected financial gifts, personal encouragement and support for a selected person(s) in need.

I know my readers are about as nice as they come, and I know you look for ways to feel fulfilled. I also know that everyone needs a break once in awhile, that everyone needs a little extra love sometimes. Love Drop can do both of those things by using the transformative power of community to help change some lives.

The first Love Drop is for Jill, from Chicago. She's a single mom who lost her job, lost her house, got stable again only to lose everything a second time in a fire...and yet she is incredibly positive and resilient.

You can find out more about Jill here:

If you feel moved to act you can give in 3 ways:

  • Join the team - Become a member by paying whatever you want. Even $1.00.
  • Join the blogger network - Blog about our Love Drops once a month! It's easy, it's rewarding, and it REALLY helps spread the word (which in turn helps the families!). Love Drop will give you all the content you need.
  • Give a gift or provide a service - Gift cards, household goods, etc. (email all ideas/questions to team (at), and we'll make it happen)
{More info from the Love Drop team} Every month the Love Drop community comes together to raise as much support and awareness as we possibly can. It starts on the website -, gets spread across our entire network of blogs, continues through the forums where all our members are brainstorming, and finally lands on the front steps of our recipients. Literally.

At the end of every month, we show up in the town the people live in to deliver this pile of goodness. The money, the gifts, the services, everything! It's all on film, and it all ends with an amazing outpouring of love. And then it starts all over again the next month. Help them, and their flagship partner, Kona Grill, make this drop in Chicago amazing!

Don't think the internet does anything for people? Here's further proof that in internet wins and that the power of a single voice can change a life: this homeless man, with an incredible voice, now has a job and a home - all because someone was willing to make a video and tell their community about him. Here's the article explaining how that all transpired, and here's the video that changed this homeless man's life:

Happy a happy day friends! And please, consider selecting a cheaper cup o'joe and throwing the $1 the Love Drop way...

Thank you!

I'm so inspired. I'm bookmarking this post so I can come back this weekend and help. It's amazing how little things can mean so much. Thank you so much for sharing this, Tricia.
